I just started a new hobby of making folded greeting cards with Iris folding techniques. A lot of colored papers are just too heavy for this card making. The origami paper is absolutely perfect, and it is nice to deal with smaller sized papers when cutting for this new hobby. Very happy with my purchase. The patterns are pretty and the paper has a nice feel; the plain side has a slightly fibrous texture which I love. It is thin enough to fold some intermediate models, yet strong enough to handle difficult folds without ripping too easily. Especially considering the low price, I'm very happy with the quality of this paper! This pack has about 8 different prints, each with multiple sheets. There are some cute pastel-colored prints where the entire sheet is the same color and there are some prints that are multicolored. The multicolored sheets are so beautiful. Each sheet is pretty flexible - perfect for folding and making creases. It took some time to ship overseas, and I was a little worried about it being bent when it arrived, but it was pretty secure and stable. Everything on the package is in Japanese, including a demo pattern (it gives you instructions for the box on the front of the packaging - I can't read anything, but there are pictures and I was able to make it just fine). This was a little more expensive than just heading to the nearest craft store, but the designs are worth it in my opinion. I've folded few hearts and stars to send in letters to friends and I always get compliments on how pretty the paper is.This is not 6x6 Origami paper it's 5.5 inches leaving it 1/2 inch shy of 6 inches on each side. Needless to say the art project will not be happening with this Origami paper and I will be returning it for refund. I love dealing with AMAZON they make a mistake from vendor so easy to return pronto!Being stuck inside during quarantine got quite boring. I saw a couple YouTube tutorials for making origami and decided to try it out. This paper is super cute and easy to fold. My computer desk is now covered in origami roses, rabbits, cicadas, birds, and throwing stars!Patterns were not as I expected, several are just small circle-type designs. Paper is extremely thin. In this package I found 3 patterns that I consider truly Japanese style. I don't know what exactly I expected but these papers are average at best. I've since ordered the Shinwazome Chiyogami origami paper. I thought of ordering it at first but it's abit more expensive and there wasn't any information on it - what size or how many sheets, etc. I think the designs, at least from what I can see on the cover, look more in keeping with my idea of Japanese style. Many might like this #1148 Japanese Origami folding paper but it didn't please me and for the project I have in mind, these papers don't excite, grab your eye or inspire!.I finally go this order but it took about 3-4 weeks to get. I forgot about it until my apartment office emailed me to let me know it arrived. If you need something fast, don't get this. The paper itself is very lovely and is perfect for folding origami. I will be used these for making origami paper cranes. Very cute.I rolled the dice a little because it was possible it would come after the holiday... And it did. But she's 17, she's fine, and she LOVES this paper.
